For our first meetup of the year on Wednesday January 11 we'll focus on getting your short screenplay ready for the CINE⚡️SPARK late submission deadline, which is quickly approaching on February 1st. Our special guest speaker will be Ann Marie Hak, winner of the 2020 CINE⚡️SPARK pitch competition and writer of Wishing Fall.

Story Break returns for 2023 with monthly sessions on focussed topics, special guests, table reads, and feedback forums. All are welcome to join us on the second Wednesday of each month for STORY BREAK - monthly meetup for screenwriters!

For our next meetup on Wednesday February 8th we'll continue discussing the topic of getting your ideas ready for submissions and applications. This time we’ll focus on getting your script and application ready for Canada Council for the Arts' Explore and Create grant programs, with an upcoming deadline of April 5th.
