CineVic’s 6th annual Short Circuit: Pacific Rim festival has received a record number of submissions from around the Pacific region, and we can’t wait to share them all with you! With submissions from Korea, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, China, Papua New Guinea, USA, and British Columbia, this film festival will expose you to the best rising filmmakers from around the Pacific Rim, all without leaving Victoria.

If you are interested in learning more about the members of Victoria's thriving film community, or looking to network with other filmmakers, then this is the city-wide event for you!
Joanne Wilson, veteran actor and acting teacher (VAD Arts, Screen Actors Studio), is offering a 3 hour workshop on June 2, 2018. This workshop will introduce you to some of the basics of auditioning for film & TV; how to slate for the camera, how to act with a ‘reader’, and how to quickly find an objective and create relationship within the scene. She’ll also offer a few tips on how to deal with those auditioning nerves!
