Calling all burgeoning Directors, Cinematographers, and anyone interested in upping their film skills! Join us on Saturday, November the 10th for "Art With a Stopwatch - 45 Years in the Screen Trade w/ Mark Irwin." This 5 hour workshop will give filmmakers a crash course on cinematography from one of the best (including a Q&A session). Mark Irwin, A.S.C., C.S.C is one of Canada's most prolific cinematographers. He is widely known for his early collaborations with David Cronenberg on films such as FAST COMPANY, THE DEAD ZONE, and THE FLY.

It's that time of year again -- CineVic’s annual holiday-themed winter-ish event, Film Festivus (for the rest of us!)
Based on the Seinfeld-inspired holiday, Film Festivus will feature a collection of short films from Festivus' past, delicious appetizers, silent auction fundraiser, and stand up acts from local comics: Evan Mumford, Piper Gordon, and Curran Dobbs. Hosted by Jennifer Elle Cannon!

Each year, CINE⚡️SPARK awards a hefty production package of cash and in-kind equipment rentals and services to the production of an outstanding short film script by a writer/filmmaker from the Vancouver Island & Gulf Islands region. This year we've increased our prize package, now valued at over $15,000!
Short Circuit Pacific Rim Film Festival ~ Regular Submission Deadline

Short Circuit returns in May 2019 with another showcase of films from over 30 countries around the Pacific Rim! Our 7th annual festival will feature screenings, guest filmmakers, the CINE⚡️SPARK pitch event, and (of course) parties. Filmmakers from all regions bordering the Pacific Ocean are invited to submit your short film for consideration.
