The inaugural 48 Film Festival will screen at the TIFF Bell Lightbox in Toronto featuring the top entries from 48-hour filmmaking challenges across Canada, including our own Film Slam winners Hair Today, Grey Tomorrow by Octavian Kaul, and Carissima (Dearest) by Sonya Chwyl and Anik Desmarais-Spencer.
Join us in-person on April 6th to get your hands on both of our new camera stabilizers and learn their basic setup along with pro tips from Daniel Carruthers, Cinematographer and CineVic Equipment Manager. He'll provide an overview of features and functions on these two gimbals, and walk you through how to pair the Ronin SC with smaller cameras such as our Sony A7, or accommodate larger camera setups such as the RED Gemini with our Ronin 2 and Ready Rig.
Join screenwriter, filmmaker, and experienced pitcher Letay Williams for an overview of the art of the pitch. And we're not talking baseball! Participants can expect to learn the key elements and components that help make a good pitch. Come with an idea in mind and be excited to practice pitching one-on-one and/or to the group. We’ll also go over some tips to help build your nerve, focus your words, and sharpen your delivery in order to seal the deal.
