Each year, CINE⚡️SPARK awards a hefty production package of cash and in-kind equipment rentals and services to the production of an outstanding short film script by a writer/filmmaker from the Vancouver Island & Gulf Islands region. This year we've increased our prize package, now valued at over $15,000!

Short Circuit returns in May 2019 with another showcase of films from over 30 countries around the Pacific Rim! Our 7th annual festival will feature screenings, guest filmmakers, the CINE⚡️SPARK pitch event, and (of course) parties. Filmmakers from all regions bordering the Pacific Ocean are invited to submit your short film for consideration.

Discover the nostalgia, creativity, and joy of celluloid film by making your own 3-minute Super 8 movie. No experience necessary! Only 25 spots available, and registration is first-come first-serve -- spots WILL fill up quickly!
