Onward and Upward

With immense gratitude we would like to announce that our longtime Equipment Manager, Daniel Carruthers, will be moving on from his position at CineVic later this summer to focus on his award-winning career as a Cinematographer. Daniel joined CineVic as a member in 2004 and has worked tirelessly and reliably as our resident equipment expert and technician for more than 13 years. During this time he has diligently overseen the rentals, maintenance, and expansion of our extensive equipment library, and assisted with the coordination of our many events, workshops, and programs — not to mention moving us between four different locations over the years!

CineVic will truly not be the same without Daniel and his intimate knowledge of every item of gear, both analogue and digital. But his legacy lives on as our longest serving staff member, providing a solid foundation for the organization into the future. We know this won’t be the last we see of Daniel, as he continues to employ his unmatched skills of capturing exquisite visuals for local film productions.
